Can I use Meshy models in a commercial game?

Short answer: Yes. On a paid Meshy plan you own the models you generate. On the free plan, Meshy owns them but licenses them to you under CC BY 4.0, which allows commercial use as long as you credit Meshy. Models you post to the Meshy Community page become CC0, so anyone can use them. Disclose AI 3D models on Steam.

FAQ

Can I sell a game with Meshy free-plan models?

Yes, under CC BY 4.0, as long as you credit Meshy. Meshy's Terms (Sep 19, 2026) make free-plan output available under CC BY 4.0 'as long as the free plan customer provides appropriate credit to Meshy.'

Who owns Meshy models on a paid plan?

You do. The Terms say customers on a paid Meshy plan own their Customer Output.

How do I credit Meshy?

CC BY 4.0 asks for appropriate credit and a link to the licence. A line like 'Some 3D models generated with Meshy (meshy.ai), CC BY 4.0' in the credits and store page is a common approach (our suggestion).

Do I need to disclose Meshy models on Steam?

Yes. Steam's Content Survey covers AI content that ships with your game, including artwork.
